Job Title: Sr. Test Engineer #33508

Primary Objective: 

Work cross functionally with new product development and manufacturing teams for developing test and equipment for characterizing and testing the mechanical and electrical components used in medical industry products. Design, develop and validate software and hardware to conduct tests on complex software and hardware systems using NI LabView, Data Acquisition (NI DAQ) and GPIB, PXI, Serial, Ethernet, USB and/or IEEE 1394 interfaces.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Develop tesets for vericication and calidation of electromechanical medical industry products.
  • Develop data acquisistion test systems for verification, validation and production testing.
  • Develop, maintain and upgrade automated test scripts and architectrues for application products.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated teset tools and strategies.
  • Test mechanical hardware and its interface to the system.
  • Write, implement and report staus of sytem test cases; and rigorously document verification and validation test plans.

Knowledge and Education, Experience and Training:

  • Masters Degree or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline and 3 years experience as a Test Engineering, Project Engineer, Applications Engineer or Software Engineer.
  • Will also consider Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical discipline and 5 years of progressivee experience as a Test Engineer, Project Engineer, Applications Engineer or Software Engineer.
  • Must possess at least three years of experience with LabView.
  • Must also have experience in creating data acquisition test systems using NI products.
  • Creating verification and validation plans and reports; and directing test implementation.
