Job Title: Patient Kit Coordinator, Supply Chain
Primary Objective:
The position is responsible for planning, ordering, coordinating a capable supply chain for patient kits and purchasing of related supplies. The position will also support the product development during source selection, quoting and pre-production ordering of tooling and components related to patient kits.
Essential Job Functions:
- Plan and schedule production quantities by month for suppliers and sub-contract manufactures.
- The purchase order quantities and related production plans will be based on various inputs including, sales forecasts provided by finance and marketing, safety stock targets, production capacity of contract manufacturers, and inventory levels.
- Serve as contact with each supplier and contract manufacturer regarding production scheduling, shipment and delivery plans, and other recurring and non-recurring production and transportation issues.
- Coordinates movement of product from manufacture, sterilizer, distribution companies, and worldwide distribution centers.
- Tracks and processes sterilization certificates of conformance prior to releasing product to distribution.
- Track shipments and receipts from suppliers and contract manufacturers in order to accurately track future inventory coverage and prepare future production plans. Where applicable communicate with the distribution centers to ensure inventories are maintained at required levels.
- Plans and coordinates surface, air and ocean container shipment of product utilizing third part logistic partners
- Performs cycle counts of product at remote inventory locations. Processes all assigned items inventory movement transactions in NAV Prepares shipping documents as required for domestic and international shipments
- Updates foreign distributor communication reports (spreadsheets) and ensures that they are informed of any irregularities in supply.
- Receives and reviews requisitions for completeness, selects reliable sources, requests bids as necessary, evaluates quotations and makes final supplier selection. Analyze and evaluate quotations submitted directly or in response to bid requests to assure that quality, capability, and costs aresatisfactory.
- Negotiate prices and create competitive bidding situations to insure lowest total cost. Prepare various reports and communications that cater to the recipients needs indicating short-term and long-term inventory outlook and other production related reports. Prepare and publish delivery and quality performance metrics as required, Routinely review lot sizing, production run frequency and safety stock levels.
- Provide management with revised optimization proposals as appropriate.
- Prepare written communication to suppliers, contract manufacturers and internal ACIST stakeholders on a regular basis. Prepare, issue and manage purchase orders and supply agreements.
- Coordinate ordering and delivery of materials to contract manufacturing sites and resolve related issues as required.
- Coordinate assigned commodity product component issues as required. Work closely with other functions within ACIST & Bracco Diagnostics Inc., including finance, marketing, customer service, quality, product development and sales, in order to manage the supply of materials and services required to meet development and production requirements.
- Utilization of ACIST business systems and software tools provided by Bracco (as appropriate). May be responsible for all Item Master and basic data information on assigned parts.
Knowledge And Education, Experience And Training:

Four-year degree, preferably, B.S. in Business Administration, Operations, or Finance, OR equivalent experience in production planning.

Minimum of 2 years experience (3-5 years desired) in dealing with contract manufacturers and/or providing production requirements.
- Provide the company with well-rounded industry knowledge in the commodity groupings assigned to his/her buying assignment. Practical knowledge and understanding of logistics and distribution resource planning. Previous materials management master production scheduling or demand management experience desired. The position will perform assigned administrative duties and will assist the Manager in directing all Purchasing personnel toward the achievement of department and company objectives. Experience with Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Excel a must and experience with Access, a plus.
