Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 33778

Primary Objective: 

This position will work directly with ACIST Disposable Suppliers to implement process and design improvements of current products, and introduce new products.  They need to work proactively with the suppliers to prevent quality issues from reaching the field.   The candidate will be required to travel more then 50% of the time.  

Essential Job Functions: 

• Carry out plans and action items delegated by project manager or engineers.
• Implement, maintain, and improve on manufacturing and production systems at the site of the suppliers.
• Able to communicate technically to a broad range of professional audiences.
• Understanding of DFM/DFA principles and willingness to further expand skills through professional training
• Understanding of Six Sigma methodology and be able to apply statistical analysis to develop process controls.
• Draft technical specifications (Test Protocols, NRE’s, etc.), change orders, and required documentation for release of products and processes and responsible for rigorous documentation for all phases of projects.
• Required to work with suppliers effectively to complete established projects at cost, delivery and quality targets
• Must be willing to travel over 50% of their time.

Knowledge, Education, Experience and Training:

• Bachelors in Engineering – Industrial, Manufacturing preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt experience and familiarity with DMAIC principles desired.
• 5+ years industry experience or related combination of applicable co-op experience acceptable.
• Vendor Management Experience
• Experience setting up assembly lines and conducting time studies
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Skills And Abilities:

• Able to communicate technically and present to peers and managers
• Self-starter and able to manage own work environment upon delegation of tasks or projects.
• Experience with high volume assembly automation and injection molding is desirable.
• Experience with Medical products is desirable.
• Ability to speak Spanish is desirable.
